专升本英语语法一般过去式

先做两道题： 1.—You must have met him the other day. —Oh, no, I ________. A. hadn’t B. mustn’t C. haven’t D. didn’t

答案：D。 问句是对过去情况的猜测，所以答句用一般过去时。I didn’t是I didn’t meet him the other day 的省略。

2.—You could have asked Mr. Johnson for help. He is kind-hearted. —I ________ that. A whole day ________. A. forget; wastes B. forgot; was wasted C. forgot; had wasted D. forget; was wasted

答案：B。 说话之前“忘了”，故用一般过去时态;第二空应用一般过去时的被动语态形式。 语法讲解：

一般过去时的基本用法 表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，或者过去经常或反复发生的动作。常与过去时连用的时间状语有： yesterday, last .., in 2003, ... ago,just now,once upon a time,the other day, before ..., when..,in the past，this morning等。 1、有些时候要在语境中理解过去时。 -Your phone number again? I didn't quite catch it.

2、表示过去经常发生的动作还可用used to。 He used to have long hair,but he has short hair now.

3、有时用一般过去时是时态一致的需要。 I didn't know you were here.

4、用过去时表示现在，表示委婉语气。 1)动词want,hope,wonder,think等。 Did you want anything else? 2)情态动词 could,would. Could you lend me your bike?

动词过去式的构成规律 1.直接加ed: work—worked,look—looked

2.以不发音e结尾的单词，直接加d: live —lived,hope—hoped

3.以辅音字母+y结尾的，变y为i加ed： study— studied , carry—carried,stayed

4.以重读闭音节结尾的，双写最后的辅音字母+ed： stop— stopped , plan-planned
